About
This project focuses on the transformation of a small art-deco apartment kitchen interiors located in the historic Potts Point area of Sydney. The project was approached with an exercise in restraint, aimed at identifying the least amount of intervention required to convert the cramped and dysfunctional kitchen into a vibrant and productive space.
To achieve this objective, the existing solid timber kitchen was preserved and new components were added using marble off-cuts from a local supplier’s yard. The marble off-cuts were carefully arranged to create a cohesive benchtop, splashback, and shelves, demonstrating a committment to repair and refurbishment.
